About / Who am I?

I’m Paul Betteridge: entrepreneur, tech specialist, Scout leader and devoted family man. Above all, I’m a father to my two amazing children, Elliot and Erin, and husband to my wife, Elaine.

I grew up in Bournemouth, where my curiosity for electronics and computers began. Money was tight at home, so I learned the value of hard work early on—washing cars, delivering newspapers and running car-boot stalls—to save for my first Acorn Electron. Over the years I upgraded through Spectrum, Sega Master System, Amiga 500 and Amiga 1200 before finally building my own PC.

My entrepreneurial streak showed early: as a teenager I ran PBPD, a public-domain software library for the Amiga. Orders came by post, paid by cheque, and each request could take a month to fulfil—no instant downloads or email back then! I taught myself BASIC on the Electron, writing my first programme: an Arsenal match database with synthesised speech on the Spectrum. Four decades on, I’m still coding and supplying software to technicians worldwide.

Today I’m the sole proprietor of iFixTech, providing Mac and PC repair and IT support across Dorset. I also lead a software and web-development company, building bespoke applications and online stores for local businesses—many pivoting online during the COVID-19 pandemic under my guidance.

When lockdowns hit, I turned to day-trading and swing-trading US stocks and futures. What began as a supplementary income soon became a passion. I train and trade at least four hours daily, developing tools and strategies that power my members-only Discord trading community and fuel my Stock Trading YouTube channel.

I’ve also authored three books, available on Amazon and Kindle:

In parallel, as a Scout leader and outdoor enthusiast, I love exploring the British countryside—Dorset’s coastline is my favourite canvas for drone photography and adventure. When I’m not behind a screen or on the trading floor, you’ll find me on the trails, pursuing new peaks, watching football with my kids or planning our next family adventure.
